Church is not just a place, but also a people. The people of First Christian work together, eat together and care for each other. We are always looking for people who would like to join us on our journey. Here are a few ways you can get involved in the life of the church.
Join our Bible Study. Weekly lectionary Bible Study on Wednesdays from September to May. We come together for an hour to look at the upcoming passages for Sunday. From time to time, there are Christian Formation opportunities after worship on Sunday.
Join us for lunch Every second Sunday of the month, we gather for a lunch after worship at a local restaurant. It is a great time of fellowship. You don’t need to bring anything, just come on down and join us!
Take part in a mission project. We try to have hands-on mission every month. Sometimes that means making sandwiches for the homeless, volunteering at a homeless shelter or making welcoming baskets for refugees. Work with us as we strive to be Christ to a broken world.
Can you play a musical instrument? If you play the piano or the violin or the banjo or the bagpipe (no, we aren’t joking…you gotta bagpipe? Bring it!), come and participate in worship offering praises to God in song.
